All of our decorated and drop cookies are individually wrapped and heat sealed! We use poly or cellophane bags that have a small Southern Sugar Bakery logo printed on the back of the bag. The bags do not include a ribbon or tie closure, and it offers a clean and streamlined look for the cookies. The cookies stay fresh in their sealed bags for two weeks at room temperature from the date of pickup or shipment. They freeze exceptionally well for consumption at a later date. To thaw, simply allow the cookies to defrost in the bags at room temperature overnight.

Our decorated sugar cookies and cookie cakes are nut-free, but we do produce certain drop cookies containing peanuts and almonds in our facility. Production of these baked goods are done at separate times but not on separate equipment (although they are cleaned thoroughly between processing). Because we are not a nut-free facility, we leave ordering for those with nut allergies up to the discretion of our customers.

Currently, we do not offer custom designed hand detailed cookie sets; however, we do offer a large variety of hand detailed decorated cookie sets which are able to be personalized. We also offer custom printed logo and photo cookies.

We offer two different sizes of our cookie cakes: 14” and 16”. We also offer 10” seasonal holiday cookie cakes. Our cookie cakes are made with premium Ghirardelli chocolate and range in weight from 3 to 7 pounds, so they are not your typical cookie cake! They can serve quite a few people depending on how they are cut/served. Place an order here.

At this time, we are not a retail bakery location, so we do not have cookies ready made for walk-in customers. Every order is previously placed on our website, so every cookie we create is made to order.

Yes! Our cookies can be frozen for up to 6 months, and we encourage customers to store the cookies in freezer containers to ensure freshness. To keep the cookie design looking its best, we also recommend placing a sheet of wax paper between each layer of cookies (if not individually wrapped).

We are located in the garden level below Crabtree Chiropractic Center – when you arrive, drive down the parking lot and curve left around the side of the building into the side parking lot. You will see the awning over the door and our logo on the separate entrance.

At this time, we do not offer a delivery service. However, you may pick up your cookie order from our bakery location, or we can ship a cookie package anywhere in the United States!

Unfortunately, no – we need at least one week to turnaround a cookie order due to the time it takes to process an order (this includes the baking, decorating, drying time, and packaging). We recommend placing your order as soon as you can to ensure that our calendar is not booked! If you would like to inquire about an emergency cookie order (less than one week from the date needed), please email us at admin@southernsugarbakery.com and we will do our best to help you. If we can accommodate, the order will be subject to a 15% rush fee.

• At checkout, you will choose the date your cookie order will SHIP from our bakery, NOT the date you would like for it to arrive! We have multiple disclaimers at each step of checkout warning customers to select the SHIP date and not the delivery date and we cannot be held responsible for late packages in these circumstances.
• There is a minimum one-week lead time on our calendar to process orders. Unavailable dates will be blocked off on our calendar as necessary.
• Shipping options will be generated at checkout. We ship via UPS or United States Postal Service to all 50 states within the United States. We do not offer international shipping at this time, including to Mexico and Canada.
• UPS Ground, USPS Priority Mail, and USPS Priority Mail Express offer estimated arrival dates. UPS 3-Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS Next Day Air Saver, UPS Next Day Air, and UPS Next Day Air Early offer guaranteed arrival dates. If you would like for your cookies to arrive on a specific date, you must select a guaranteed method of delivery.
• We do not give refunds for any packages that are delayed or lost en route by the shipping carrier. UPS and USPS are third-party shipping carriers, and as such, Southern Sugar Bakery assumes no responsibility on how the package is handled once it has left our bakery.
• Packages that have been returned to us, due to an incorrect address or other reasons outside of our control, will be subject to additional charges if re-shipment is required.
• We take great care to package each cookie securely to minimize the risk of breakage during shipment. When possible, we will include any extra cookies in your shipment, but we cannot guarantee your order will include extras. Once a package leaves our bakery, we cannot control how it is handled by the shipping carrier. As such, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements for cookies that arrive broken. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
• Southern Sugar Bakery does not offer returns or exchanges due to the custom and perishable nature of our products.

Orders of 11 or more addresses should contact admin@southernsugarbakery.com. You will be given a link to a spreadsheet to be filled in. The order and shipping will be calculated and an invoice for payment will be emailed.
