Our address is 4517 Lead Mine Road, Suite B, Raleigh, NC 27612. We are located in the garden level below Crabtree Chiropractic Center – when you arrive, drive down the parking lot and curve left around the side of the building into the side parking lot. You will see the awning over the door and our logo on the separate entrance.

All of our decorated cookies include individual bagging at no extra cost! We use heat-sealed cellophane bags that have a small Southern Sugar Bakery logo printed on the back of the bag. The bags do not include a ribbon or tie closure, and it offers a clean and streamlined look for the cookies. If you prefer for yours to not be wrapped, please let us know in the comments box at checkout (this does not reduce the price, however). Our classic drop cookies do not include individual wrapping in the price, but can be added for a small additional charge if requested. To ensure freshness and safety in transit, all shipped cookies (both decorated and drop cookies) are individually wrapped.

Our decorated sugar cookies and cookie cakes are nut free, but we do produce certain drop cookies containing peanut butter in our facility. Production of these baked goods are done at separate times but not on separate equipment (although they are cleaned throughly between processing). Because we are not a nut-free facility, we leave ordering for those with nut allergies up to the discretion of our customers.

We offer three different sizes of our cookie cakes: 10" for $35, 14” for $45, and 16” for $60. Holiday cookie cakes have special pricing that varies. The cookie cakes are made with premium Ghirardelli chocolate and range in weight from 3 to 7 pounds, so they are not your typical cookie cake! They can serve quite a few people depending on how they are cut/served. The price includes two colors of buttercream icing and a simple message.

At this time, we do not offer delivery service. However, you may pick up your cookie order from our bakery location, or we can ship a cookie package anywhere in the United States!

At checkout, you will choose the date your cookie order will SHIP from our bakery (this is not the same as choosing the date you’d like for it to arrive!). There is a minimum one-week lead time to process orders. However, once we have reached order capacity for the week, we will block off unavailable dates as necessary. Shipping options will generate at checkout and each method should give you an estimated ship time. We ship via UPS or United States Postal Service to all 50 states in the US. We cannot offer international shipping at this time, including Mexico and Canada. We package the cookies with extra care in order for them to avoid breaking while in transit. We cannot be held responsible for broken cookies once they have left our bakery. Additionally, we cannot be held responsible if a package is shipped out on the date of your choosing but arrives late or is lost en route.

At this time, we are not a retail bakery location, so we do not have cookies ready made for walk-in customers. Every order is previously placed on our website, so every cookie we create is made to order.

Unfortunately, no – we need at least one week for a cookie order due to the time it takes to process an order (this includes the baking, decorating, drying time, and packaging). We recommend placing your order as soon as you can to ensure that our calendar is not booked! If you need to place an emergency order (less than one week from date needed) of a cookie cake or order of sea salt chocolate chip cookies, please email us at admin@southernsugarbakery.com and we will do our best to help you if we can accomodate the order.

Yes! Our cookies can be frozen for up to 6 months, and we encourage customers to store the cookies in freezer containers to ensure freshness. To keep the cookie design looking its best, we also recommend placing a sheet of wax paper between each layer of cookies (if not individually wrapped).

No problem! If you need several different orders on different dates, please place separate orders for each one based on the date you need them picked up or shipped from our bakery. If you need multiple orders shipped to multiple addresses, you will need to place separate orders for each individual package you will be sending. This allows for the shipping charge to be accurately reflected for each order, depending on location, and will also generate separate tracking numbers for each package you have us ship out.
